What is Learning Expert Program "engineering Leaders" ?
In the framework of building capacities in universities, YLF and Concrete Plus have decided to change the traditional internships methods, hence, the “ Engineering Leaders program” was created. The Engineering Leaders is a program that is created specifically for Engineering students to help narrow the gap between their academic background and the working environment. This program was designed to enhance the students’ problem solving and learning skills, as well as improve their technical skills.
The Learning Expert mainly focuses on creating dynamic internships by linking engineering students with corporate projects and visions by introducing case studies from the corporate side aligned with their vision. After the case study announcement, we focus on developing those youth who are working on the cases by giving them the full support they need through the journey to come up with the best solutions. Lastly, the corporate gets to choose the winner and provide prizes and internships.
What is the process?
Student activities start their journey with Leaders League through three main phases.
We announce the case study competition through our social media channels and universities visits in partnership with a Concrete Plus.
Teams get to a development journey with Soft and Technical skill that is needed to work on a specific engineering case study introduced from concrete plus. The development journey will help them with all the needed trainings to solve the case study and add their creative touch to it. All of that i with the help of mentors from the Company.
Second step is the awareness training that discuss different topics related to environmentally sustainable issues, Environmental Issues such as Climate Change, Global Warming, Ozone Layer Depletion, Water Pollution, Air Pollution, Solid Waste Management & Deforestation. In addition to how can we overcome those issues.
Finally, Teams get to present their solutions to the case studies and the winners get to have an internship and individual awards.
The mentorship splits into
- Project Management Follow-up
- Technical project follow-up.
- Giving constructive feedback, ensuring the quality of the final product.
- Help them in the selling and marketing experience.
